First of all, you'll need a domain name; this is your unique website address. The most widely used of these is the top level domain also known as the dot-com (www.yourwebsite.com). Second is Webspace. This is space that is stored on the computer of a hosting company, and will be where your website's files are stored. Again, there are many sites that offer website hosting and some even come bundled with a domain name, so both your website address and webspace can be found in the same place.

All that is needed now is to build your website. Some companies offer a free website builder with a variety of templates to use, but if you like, you can use programs such as Microsoft Frontpage. You can even pay a design team to create a website for you, but this is often quite expensive.
